MILLWALL held their nerve to beat ten-man Coventry at The Den and move up to fourth in the Championship table.

They took a first-half lead after Steve Morison's run and cross caused chaos in the visiting area and the helpless Martin Cranie bundled into his own net.

The Lions were pegged back, however, midway through the second period when Aaron Gunnarsson held off the challenge of Darren Ward to slot beyond 'keeper David Forde.

But when Coventry's Carl Baker was sent-off for two bookings in the space of six minutes the home side took control, and Liam Trotter's lob and Morison's penalty wrapped up victory.
