All the fun of the fair

Friday, 18 May 2012

Thousands of people converged on a green at the weekend for a festival’s fair.

The fair on Goose Green in East Dulwich was part of the two-week annual Dulwich Festival which saw events take place around the area.

On Sunday, the Goose Green fair saw craftspeople and designers exhibit alongside campaigners as crowds enjoyed live music.

More than a hundred artists opened their doors throughout the weekend, inviting visitors to come in and look at their work. This year, the festival introduced a sports theme with sports open days allowing people an opportunity to try something new.

Dulwich Festival runs until Sunday, culminating in Dulwich Park Fair. Events coming up this week include a gala youth concert on Thursday at Kingsdale School, Alleyn Park and Dulwich folk dance with Dulwich Dancers at St Barnabas Parish Hall, Dulwich Village, on Thursday.
