MILLWALL ground out a first friendly win of the summer thanks to a Mark Beevers goal.
The defender, playing at left-back, sneaked into the area unmarked and turned home Jack Powell's clever fre-kick on the hour.
Millwall dominated possession and chances and should have had more to show for their openings - and the hosts tested neither David Forde nor second-half keeper Jordan Archer.
The visitors looked bright down both channels but especially on the right, and early on a lovely Paris Cowan-Hall cross was glanced the wrong side of far post by Nadjim Abdou, who thumped the ground in frustration.
