SHOLA Ameobi is back in the Premier League - and believes he can make an impact at the level for at least the next three years.

The experienced frontman, 33, signed for Crystal Palace on a short-term deal until the end of the season after lasting just five months with Turkish side Gaziantep.

But now Ameobi, a cult figure during a career at Newcastle that almost spanned two decades, is back in England's elite division.

Alan Pardew, his last boss at the Toon, snapped him up ahead of interest from West Brom.

"I certainly believe I have got enough quality to play for another two or three years in the Premier League," said Ameobi. "I'll be working hard to try and do that.

"I'm doing my coaching badges at the moment in case I do go down that route but I want to play at the highest level for as long as I possibly can. If that is Palace then great. I'm not thinking about hanging my boots up any time soon.
